What a great weekend. Paige had her first swim class and she was the cutest thing ever! She just loved it, my little "shrimp"! That's what they call the children in her age category at the Y. She loves bath time so I knew she would like the water but she loved it. I just looked at her in the water with daddy and couldn't believe how big she has gotten. I want it to slow down, its gone way too fast. I took soo many pictures and can't wait until this weekend to be in the pool with her.
Weather was just gorgeous yesterday! 82 was the high in TR. Just a little taste of summer and right back to the chilly wet weather way too quickly. They say, April Showers bring May flowers. Let's hope so because I want Spring and Summer weather soon! I want to take Paige to the park on the swing and slide. She is going to Storytelling at the Library again tomorrow. She loves when you read to her and they sing songs and have puppets..really cute for her. She is a busy bee.
Easter is right around the corner and I can't believe Paige will be 7 Months a few days before that on the 21st- 7 Months! I can't believe that. She isn't crawling at all yet but she tries a bit here and there. Her legs are so strong and she loves to stand for a long time if you hold her hands. She has been using her walker so much more now, still not a sprinter but she is a woman on the move!
Everyday there is something new to smile about when it comes to Paige, I just love her so much. What a wonderful feeling to be a mommy, there is nothing like it. It quickly brings you back to whats really important in life. Good day Cyberworld..

Where's the Sunshine?
Where or where are you Mr. Sunshine? It has been so ugly and rainy here in New Jersey and I am tired of this cold weather. Spring is here and yet I can't seem to get good weather for some well deserved walks for Paige. Paige has her first swim class tomorrow and we are so excited for her. It will be nice to see how she reacts in the pool at the YMCA. She also has another one of her gymboree classes right after that. She will be a very busy young lady tomorrow.
I did a few little crafts for her since I have been home. I made a few flower clips for her and a bow. They came out pretty good considering it was my first time giving it a try. I figured its something nice I can do for my little lady..Maybe I'll make enough to start selling some, lol. I am also going to try to create some car seat covers for her and to sell. I am excited about it and it will be something new that I can do with and for her. I used the hot glue gun for the first time ever. Surprised I didn't get burned but I handled it pretty good considering.
I went to Shoprite today and realized how expensive groceries are now a days. I remember when I used to shop for us a few years ago and I could but a ton for less then $140 and I can't seem to go to the store without at least spending near $200 and it's just Rich and I, Paige too.
Gas to fill up the truck today was ridiculous, $50.03!! REALLY..What's going on these days, I just hate it.
I can't believe Japan got hit again yesterday. It's so sad and I keep everyone in need in our prayers and pray that they have a light at the end of the tunnel. These natural disasters are so devastating and I am a nervous wreck about something happening here. God forbid something happened, Paige wouldn't be able to grow up and see all the good things life has to offer her. I think so differently now that I have a child.
I wish everyone a good and safe night! Until next time my friends.

Spring is here!
Wow, we finally have some beautiful weather today. Paige loved going for her walk and looking at the trees blowing in the wind. The sun is shining and it just akes you feel so good and it's starting to look so nice out there now that Spring is here. We just had Paige's 6 month visit the other day and she has gotten soooo big. I can't believe that 6 months ago I was in labor and didn't realize how my life would change from that moment on.
Here are a few stats on Paige now:
* You are now 24 inches long
* You now weigh 16 lbs.
* You are talking all the time now, even though mommy doesn't know whatyour saying, we talk together all day
* You now smile at everyone and look at everything because you are so nosey
* You now eat 2-3 olid meals a day along with your 5 bottle feeds
* You have now eaten chicken, flounder and veal with your veggies
* You love cheddar cheese and cream cheese too
* You can now drink your juice from a straw too, although you love your sippie cue but prefer our cups instead (such a big girl)
* You now eat yogurt at times and you don't mind it at all
* You eat bread and scrambled eggs too, only a little bit
* You don't mind your car seat too much anymore, you know you're going bye bye and seem to enjoy it at times
* You now have a pretty busy schedule
* You have Gymboree classes, Storytelling at the library, and swim classes too
* Your hair is really coming in now and you know daddy loves that, he can't wait until he can use a clippy
So many changes in such a short time. I don't know if anyone knows that my best friend Silla and I have had daughters 2 weeks apart without ever planning it. I often wonder how that could have happened, we always spoke about having kids together but those things can never be planned. It has happened that way for a reason and it has brought us so much closer too. It's nice to know that Paige has a bestie that is only 2 weeks younger and will forever be a part of our lives. Silla is such a strong woman and I admire her strength each and everyday. I don't know if I could go through some of the hardships she has had to face in her young life so far. I only hope that she hangs in there and realizes that God has so much out there for her ad it will come when she least expects it.
We need to treasure that people that are close to us because life is too short to sweat the small stuff. Keep your head high and know that we are on this earth for a reason, we all have a purpose. Oprah said something.. We need to hear Gods whispers to us and follow that life that we were meant to have and enjoy while touching others and feeling blessed along the way. If we don't hear his whisper he will get ouder and if we don't hear him by that point he will break down a wall for us to wake up and do our lifes journey. We are where we are because of our choices. If we are not happy with our life and certain aspects of it, we have the power to change it. We have to be happy wth our choices whether others agree with them or not.
Now that Paige is in our lives, I realize that we all need to live our lives for our families and not what others wish we would do or say. As long as we are happy with where we are, thats all that matters.

It's Been Awhile..
It has been a few weeks since my last post and I have missed you!!
We have had so many family issues so far this week and I just hope it all gets better soon..Not with our family but Rich's side of the family..
I have come to realize that in life, one of the things I truly hate the most are LIARS!!! What have you accomplished while lying to someone?? Someone once told me that people who lie are actually trying to "script their own life their way". How could that be? Why would you want to script your life in any other way other then exactly how it truly is happening? I want to know that everything that has happened in my life is true and happened to me for a reason. I might not always know why it happened but I will always have an appreciation for it as it is my life.
I feel like Paige is growning up so quickly in these past few weeks..We see the Doctor tomorrow and I can't wait to see how many inches she is now and how much she has grown since her 45 month check up...Can you believe she will be 6 months on Monday?!! I still remember the day sh was born and could even talk about it like it was yesterday, sometimes it sure feels like it was. She has been very fussy lately due to her teething..If it wasn't for that I think Paige would be a much less fussy child but I will take her exactly how she is, she is my precious little flower and I am so very happy she is mine!
What Paige has been up to these past few weeks:
* You got your 3rd tooth this past Monday..All bottom teeth!
* You now put yourself to sleep in your crib without any help from mommy, although you still love your paci and blankie
* You not only roll from your back onto your tummy, you now roll back onto your back from your tummy..
* You love your raspberry teething paci at this time and anything you can help soothe that pain away
* You love animals- you were now able to spend time with other animals other than our Cosmo, and you just love them to pieces even when they don't always love you
* You are now in size 3 diapers
* You now get your veggies mixed with about 3 different ones for dinner so you can learn new flavors and you LOVE IT
* You love your apple and banana rice puffs
* You now have a spoonful or two of apple juice or water now and again and you would love it if I gave it to you from our cup all the time, you are becoming a pro!
* You now found your voice and have been squealing all over the place when you can
* You now really pay attention to cartoons
* You love your jumparoo
* You still hate it when mommy cleans your boogies or your ear wax but love your bath and massage time
Rich and I took Paige to her first mommy and me class last week and she loved it. I am going to take her to one that is more age appropriate 0-6months and see how she likes it. We are also going to put her in swimming classes at the YMCA and I can't wait until she can swim.. I never really learned to swim at a young age and wish I could do it better. I never want her to be nervous around water and figured the earlier, the better. I am going to start making a few things for Paige at home. I want to try to do some bows and flowers for her headbands and a few other ideas I have in mind for her and its just another way to do some cute little things for my Paige..

Just Another Week..
I didn't get a chance to come and blog this weekend as I have been having some issues with the computer, go figure! For a minute I thought I had lost all of Paige's pictures since she was born and that gave me the worst feeling ever until my brother Steven, the tech man, told me they are recoverable! Great news...
I can't seem to stop going to the Staats page to see how the family is coping with the loss of Maddie..It still makes me cry everytime I go on but it helps me to know they are trying to get through it day by day..
I had posted some new things about Paige and forgot to add that she now has 2 teeth since she was 3 1/2 months old and she is now wearing size 2 diapers!!! She is getting so big..We went out to eat the other night and we sat her on the highchair for the frst time..We used a few blankets for support as she still seems so small in the chair..She was able to sit with us at the dinner table and eat her sweet potatoes she loves sooo much. Her hair is coming in now a bit darker but growing really quickly..Rich can't wait until we can clip some up for her debut!
Rich did a seminar at a day care for Financial Planning and I was able to go this time and bring Paige..Her eyes were wide open looking at all the little girls and boys playing. I can't wait until she can sit up on her own and play with them. It was great to see her in that environment..I am going to start taking her to some mommy and me classes so she can play with babies her age..I think it would be a good change for her as she doesn't have kids her age around us and it would help her develop a sense of interaction with them..Let's hope they work out well. I was told to take her once she is 6 months to our local YMCA for some swimming classes and I can't wait. Considering I'm not the best swimmer, it will be good to start her young..I don't want her to be scared of the water. Maybe I should take some with her..It's never too late to learn something new..
I am making all of her food at home and I think it works out better for her that way..I have been sneaking in some of the veggies she hates with the ones she loves, it seems the only way I can get her to eat them..What she doesn't know will not hurt her, lol!
I have been doing a little of my real estate on the weekends now and its great so that Rich can be home with Paige, quality daddy and her time. I know he loves it too since he doesn't get too much time with her during the week once he gets home from work. She sure loves her daddy!
Gwtting ready to go make some roasted sweet potatoes for Paige...Talk soon

Where do I begin...
Where do I begin? I am a new mommy to a 5 month old little girl and I just have such an appreciation for life now..I decided to start a blog because of a story that touched me so much off of facebook..Maddie Staats...May she be at peace in heaven and may the Staats have healing in this time of need..
It left me wondering about why things like that would happen to such an innocent baby...Why?? I can't even imagine something like that happening and my daughter is just a month older then her..I can't even think about not seeing her face for a few hours, let alone a lifetime..It's so heart breaking.
It truly makes you appreciate your loved ones even more..At times we say things we shouldn't and don't mean and this story just puts things into perspective for me. We need to love like there is no tomorrow as we don't know when our day will come that God will want to take us back home with him to heaven..Love like you have never loved before, appreciate who you have around you and treasure every single moment there is in life as it seems to all happen in a blink of an eye.
I also started this blog as a way to note what my thoughts and memories are on a day to day basis and have it all down in writing..they say it heals the soul..I guess a little healing never hurt a soul!
LIVE.LOVE.LAUGH as life is so precious
